QUIET: Question Seven #Quietalong @12mos12rals

Today is our final day of discussion for QUIET by Susan Cain.  Thank you all so much for joining in the conversation, even despite the delay in some of the questions.  Be sure to check back next month for our next selection for our year of readalongs!  Now, the final question . . .

How would you rate this book on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being the lowest, 5 the highest)?  Would you recommend it to others?  What would be your elevator pitch for the book?

  1. I think I would rate this book a 4, although I considered 3.5. I really like that this book normalizes and even puts introversion on a pedestal, but there's a definite bias in the book. I think I may have had too high of expectations going in. So many people I know read and loved the book. While I am taking away a lot from it, I can't say it blew me away.

    1. Literary Feline ... To be honest, I still have a bit to go on the book, so I'm not going to give it a rating quite yet. Though I have to agree with you. It's not blowing me away, and I definitely believe that it is written from a biased point of view.

  2. Vampires is not at all like in the movies or books. Sure, I understand. You are young you have the whole world open to you. You can be anything that you choose if you apply yourself and try hard to work toward that goal. But being a Vampire is not what it seems like. It’s a life full of good, and amazing things. We are as human as you are.. It’s not what you are that counts, But how you choose to be. Do you want a life full of interesting things? Do you want to have power and influence over others? To be charming and desirable? To have wealth, health, and longevity? contact the Vampires Lord on his Email: Richvampirekindom@gmail.com
